Chi sono
READ NO FURTHER IF:
You need me to host me on a weekend -- I work weekends so by the end of the day, I'm tired of dealing with people.
You only need a place to crash -- I value interaction with my surfers. If you just need a place to crash, use AirBnB, a hostel, etc.
You are more than one person, possible exceptions for gay male couples. My house is tiny with only one bathroom.
You need to be in the city center -- I'm 15 minutes (car), 20-30 minutes (bus, served by two lines).
That said -- I've made exceptions in the past. A compelling request, a quest, etc. might get me to change my mind.
FYI -- most of this stuff is in the "housing offered" section, other bits below -- which apparently most people don't bother to read. Sorry if that sounds cranky, but Seattle (especially Summer) is a VERY popular destination.
And now back to your regularly scheduled CouchSurfer template:
CURRENT MISSION
It's not about the destination, it's about the journey.
ABOUT ME
Work at home, travel wildly, work weekends at a specialty wine shop that I own with a college buddy of mine (so I don't like to host weekends since I'm sick of people by the end of the day), show me a travel deal and I'm all over it. Like meeting other world travellers, like world travelling. OUT GAY MALE, but that really doesn't define me, it's just like saying I'm white, dumpy, 50ties -- it's all the shell. What matters is the conversation over dinner and a nice glass of wine. Must be my Unitarian upbringing. I've a tiny house so hosting more than one traveler is a rarity -- too much trying to get too many people through one bathroom in the morning.
PHILOSOPHY
Karma is an instant mistress.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've only hosted folks so far. Came close in Australia (Sydney) but then found the killer deal on a condo. I think it is my HOST instinct to entertain.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a bunch of CouchSurfers and GlobalFreeLoaders. I'm trying to build up my Karma bank for when I need to go travelling where I don't have friends already.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
Didn't know it at the time, but being 20 years old and doing 6-weeks in India and Nepal and spending one of those weeks in Kashmir on a lake-boat on Lake Srinigar would be top of the list. Followed by a day on the tarmac in Baghdad because of an Air India bomb scare on the way home. Welcome to 1976.
Or was it Antarctica?
Or was it being the Engineer on a GE 80-ton Locomotive for almost twenty miles outside Las Vegas?
