About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet as many different people and have as many varied life experiences as possible.
ABOUT ME
I'm a fifth year university student from Australia who is trying to make the most out of these precious undergraduate years! I love travelling, and have been to South America and the Indian subcontinent in the last few years - in fact, I'm hooked on India, and plan on returning as soon as I can!
I spent 6 months living in Vienna on university exchange in 2012. I'm now I'm ready for my next overseas adventure, which will take me to Costa Rica for a study program.
I'm a passionate and outgoing person, who is certain that the world can be changed for the better - and that I'm going to do it!
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to make the most out of life - so far I plan on not having a real career until I am at least 30, in order to give me time to travel the world, meet interesting people and have diverse life experiences which will challenge me to be the best person I can be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have been involved in CouchSurfing since 2008, when I stayed with my first host on my first trip overseas at age 18. I love CS because I have met some of the most genuine, warm hearted and interesting people through this site. I have CouchSurfed in many countries around the world, and always try to encourage people to come and stay with me in Canberra - unfortunately, very few people come (you should come to Canberra - it's great!!!).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
CS has allowed me to make friends with people from all over the world. I have met so many different and interesting people through CS.
Whenever I go to a foreign place and couchsurf, I remember my host more than the city itself - because I get to see a person's city through their eyes. I feel so lucky that people are willing to share their lives with fellow travellers - it makes travelling worthwhile!
Interests
I am a very passionate person, and I love to travel and meet new people. I'm also very passionate about making the world a better place and my university studies (which are focussed on international law). I enjoy photography, music, cycling and hiking - just generally being outdoors and experiencing the best of what life has to offer.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love lots of music, but my favourite artist is Sufjan Stevens, whose music has been the soundtrack to some fantastic years of my life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing thing that I have done is hike in Nepal. I walked the Annapurna Circuit, and it still strikes me as an incredible experience. Over 20 days I walked 300 kilometres around a mountain range, and climbed 5000 metres. This one time, I watched an avalanche tumble down the side of an 8000 metre peak from the vantage point of the opposing range - it was incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
As a student with few practical skills, the best thing that I can teach anyone is how to listen and be compassionate when talking to another person, to really connect with them and find out what drives them.
Otherwise, I can cook.
