Overview
About Me
Hey guys :D
I'm a 24 year old half-Austrian, half-Finnish traveler currently living in Vienna! I've lived in Belgium, the US, Germany, Finland and Austria and love seeing all corners of the world.
I'm currently doing my Master's in Process Engineering and by Bachelor's in Business.
I love listening to stories as much as I love telling them :)
The downside of traveling and living all over the world means that your friends are far away - the upside is that I have yet another excuse to visit! :D
Here's a video I made for a startup pitch battle, you can check it out to see how I come across :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTu6IdFFwPg
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting new people! I have stayed over at newly-met friends' places in Taiwan, Hong Kong, the UK, Germany and Italy before, but that was upon meeting them. My friends advised me to sign up to give it a try like this!
I've hosted close to 30 people in the last 5 years in Vienna from all of the world, but those were friends of friends and acquaintances. Life is a give and take, right? So I would enjoy hosting others, too!
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
Regarding music: I listen to so many things because why shut yourself off from potentially great new experiences? I love live jazz, downtempo electronic music like Tycho, Shlohmo and Bonobo (incidentally, all of them were amazing live!), trip hop and artistic rap, and moooorrreeee.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't recall ONE amazing thing, because I love every moment that I spend with friends and family :D
I have many memories of great experiences, and they all have to do with friends and family:
- 300 km snowmobile tour from northern Finland to Norway and back
- 500 km bike tour in southern Austria
- rented a boat and enjoyed the view and the waves from one end of the Amalfi Coast to the other
- experienced the world's largest fish market: Tsukiji in Tokyo
- hosted a party with 64 people. Needless to say, windows broke and everybody had a great time!
Teach, Learn, Share
Fluent in English and German, half-fluent in Finnish and good-enough-to-survive Chinese and Spanish skills!
Beers and wine, regional cuisines, hidden gems and the best places in many cities worldwide :)
I would love to share great experiences with you so that they become great stories for the future to tell others :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm an excellent cook! My mom always said that if I wasn't studying engineering, I should have gone to culinary school.
I MAKE AMAZING AMERICAN PANCAKES / AUSTRIAN PALATSCHINKEN / FRENCH CREPE! Even vegan if you've got the right ingredients lying around :D
I'd be glad to share experiences with you :) I'm really open and up for almost everything! Know about a hidden jazz concert in a basement? Let's go! Heard about this amazing street food vendor? Let's go! My treat!
Of course I'll contribute food and drinks for your generosity :)
