I´m a fivtysomething years old guy out of the deepest forests you can find in the middle of Europe. I´m living 9km out of the center of German Baroque town Passau, in a farm house from the 30´s. My feet are solid on ground, but I´m not too old to travel through the world. So, now and then, especially when I´m in need of inspiration for my job I go for longer tours, sometimes on my own, sometimes with my dear girlfriend Ruth. And if not on the road I´m deeply into the social, cultural and political life of my homeground.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My daughter Ronja recommended me this way of travelling, for she has been using it for herself and her many travels very successfully since years. And after getting the reassurance from her, that I´m still communicative and funny enough to surf on couches, I´m ready to try it...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Got into a snowstorm in the High Tatra, into an orca whale herd at Vancouver Bay and into a thirteen meter flood in my hometown - hold on, what I´VE DONE! Okay, danced Salsa in Cali, Columbia, the capital of Salsa, first with the world champion dancer, then with my daughter Ronja.
