One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

of course the most impressive experience were the birth of my children.
i made plenty of good, impressive experiences during my last trip in asia.
i want to write down one encounter, which touched me so intensivly.
i was in madurai, south east india and a guy more or less in my age came towards. he was collecting pastboard. our eyes were matching for a time. i never before saw such a deep sadness and desperation. i kept on going but suddenly i stopped and i turned, saw in his eyes again and gave him some money, not very much. he didn´t say anything, he didn´t smiled, he didn´t move his face but in his eyes has been such a deep thankfulness and we both got tears in our eyes.
this was such an emotional encounter and each time i think about this situation i still get tears in my eyes...
