About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am back in Austria now, after spending a year abroad in England and travelling through Asia for a month. At the moment, I am always switching between Vienna and my hometown in Upper Austria, therefore I cannot guarantee that I am able to host. From October on, I am going to be staying permanently in Vienna again and then guests are always welcome :)

ABOUT ME

I think I'm open-hearted and love travelling. What I really enjoy are evenings with friends and nice people, having some drinks, talking forever and playing the guitar. I also think that my friends would describe me as generous and humouros.

I'm addicted to music, movies, art, photography and literature. I like to get lost in the things I like and I love meeting new people.
Travelling is a very big passion of mine and I try to spend as much times as possible travelling the world. I have seen quite a bit of Europe and now it's time to explore different continents as well. I have been to South America and Africa in the past years, so now Asia is calling - hopefully, I will be able to travel there soon!

Since September 2012 I live in Austria's capital city, Vienna. I hope that I will be as a good host as all the people who hosted me when I was travelling.
I really like to spend time with the Couchsurfers I stay with/host, but I am not a travel guide, because I am normally busy during the day and spending my time at university. However, I am more than happy to provide you with a map and show you cool spots in Vienna and - if I have some spare time - show you my favourite places in this awesome city! As going out is another thing I really enjoy, I am more than happy to have some drinks with you and showing you nice bars and clubs in Vienna!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is that you should be open to any person, no matter which background they might have. Every person has got a story to tell and every story is unique and important.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting & Surfing, but especially talking. I think it's not only about providing a place to sleep. Couchsurfing is about sharing experiences, thoughts and having conversations!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

All the people who hosted me up to now where unbelievably friendly - I don't have any negative thoughts in mind when I think about Couchsurfing, I just love the idea behind it.

Interests

I am interested in so many things, but my main passions are travelling, music, photography/film and literature.

I work for some music magazines, thus I know the Austrian music scene quite well. So if you want to broaden your musical knowledge (and realise that there are in fact amazing recent bands from Austria and it is not only about Mozart) I am more than happy to introduce you to the new hot stuff :)

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment I read a lot of travel literature, which only makes me want to book a plane to any destination very soon. I don't really have a favourite book, but I particularly like Oscar Wilde, Paul Auster, Hunter S. Thompson and Jack Kerouac.

Again, I don't have a favourite film, but some favourite directors, namely Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton, Darren Aronofsky, Quentin Tarantino, the Coen Brothers or David Fincher.

Indie and Alternative music is my main interest. Bands like Foals, Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Klaxons, The National, Arctic Monkeys etc. As I said before, I know the Austrian music scene quite well and we have many good bands - like Farewell Dear Ghost, Olympique, Bilderbuch, Sofa Surfers, The Beth Edges and so on - come visit me and I show you the good stuff!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Bungee Jumping in Ecuador in 2013
- Living abroad in Plymouth and finding new awesome friends from all over the world
- Any travel experience with Couchsurfers

Teach, Learn, Share

As I will be an English & German Teacher in the future I can help you with these languages. Furthermore, I can teach you guitar, ukulele or the drums - if you play any instrument we could even jam in our flat, we have a lot of instruments :)

You can basically teach me anything, I am interested in so many things, I am sure we will find something!

And I think it would be great to share our experiences and get to know each other better!
