About Me

I'm based in the southern part of Germany, Bavaria, in Augsburg next to munich. I worked as an industrial mechanic but decided to go to university and now i'm very happy to study one of my favorite interests as a PhD student: history.
I'm not very god in describing myself, but i would characterize me as an open minded and relaxed person with interests in exploring diverse cultures, different ways of thinking and meeting new people. I'm outgoing as well as easy and peaceful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's a great gift to meet so many friendly and helpful people all over the world and see places from a different perspective. Couchsurfing gives every single trip a special personal note and i'm really thankful for these experiences.

Interests

Music is my big love. I used to play the drums in different bands (stoner rock, metal, grunge) or enjoyed a jam with other musicians, but because of study an work reasons there is no time for that at the moment. I listen to a lot of different kinds of music, but most of the time i prefer stoner rock, metal and atmospheric music in general. I also enjoy attending live shows.
Very often i enjoy riding my racing and mountain bike. I'm also very fascinated by natur, it gives me always a great feeling of freedom. Because of that i like hiking in the mountains or forests as well.
Because of my historical subjects i'm always open for long discussions. ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

I have read so many books in my live and it's not easy to list my favorites.
Because of study reasons i read a lot of history and archeology texts.
Besides of all the great Quentin Tarantinos movies i'm also a big fan of all the LOTR and Hobbit movies. And i spent way too much time watching GOT, Vikings, Last Kingdom, Breaking Bad, La Casa de Papel, Stranger things and so on...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

All good things go by three, so I crossed the alps three times by bike. That's enough for the moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are interested in a few simple drum grooves, i'm happy to show you some.
