Hi! My name is Markus, I grew up in Mexico with Swedish and Mexican parents. When I was 14 I moved to Sweden to study, this has opened the world for me and I have been traveling ever since. I consider myself to be a passionate and enthusiastic person. I love cycling, photography, literature and coffee.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling, it is one of my ways of life. I take every opportunity that is given to me to travel. Couch Surfing is a great way to meet people and locals while traveling. I believe that instead of traveling as a tourist, you enter a different way of life than yours and so you get to know much more the people and the places you visit.
I will be traveling with my cousin Isack around Europe by train. We think that using Couch surfing will be the greatest way of enjoying our trip. We hope him and I can meet you in our travels.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Classic Rock such as The Beatles, The Doors and Pink Floyd. I enjoy all rock music, alternative, Indie, Punk and I am open and like to listen to all types of music. I love reading Latin-American literature and my favorite books are 100 Years of Solitude from Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Pedro Paramo by Juan Rulfo. I also, enjoy authors such as Haruki Murakami and John Katzenbach.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of my favorite and most amazing travels that I have done has been to Gujarat, India. Where I spent 10 days volunteering building toilets for poor communities and visiting Orphanages.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking so expect great Tacos and Enchiladas if you stay with me. Expect lots of good music, some sightseeing and great recommendations. Also, when you enter my home you will be treated as family! :)
