ABOUT ME

Italian Student of Medicine in Berlin, currently enjoying my time at home in Italy! My life is all about crossing borders, as I grew up in Italy, went to study to Germany, went for a year abroad in Lisbon... I feel most at home, where I have nice people around me, and we all know that doesn't depend on the place ;)
I am uncomplicated, tidy and fun. I don't smoke and like to party.

PHILOSOPHY

I always believe in the good in persons, sometimes this makes me naive, but that is a price I am willing to pay.
I believe that hard work will pay off eventually, and that being a good person will give you awesome karma...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have done CS only once till now, and me and my friend met the lovliest people in Lyon, they were so accomodating and nice, so I want to give that feeling back to the community!

Interests

Music:
is a big part of my life. I love to sing, I participate in 2 different choirs, plus I annoy all my friend, because I'm constantly humming. :)
I love musical theatre (hello, Wicked, hello, Rent) and I played the piano for more than 12 years.

Science:
I study Medicine and love philosophy, politics and maths.

Travelling:
I try to visit my friends all over the world as much as I can, so far this brought me all over Europe and to the US, I hope I will be able to afford more once I earn a salary...

Photography: I am an active Instagrammer (@itsmarcwillow) and mostly shoot architecture pics with my phone. I hate boring IG-feeds that only show foodies and coffes, so I try to make my account interesting and diversified with lots of different types of pictures and projects. I also add funfacts to every picture I take, so the shots are valuable too.

Food:
I love to cook and try new recipes, and I'm always striving for the indipendence and ease that my mum has in combining ingredients to a fragrant new dish.
I love food from different countries, especially Italian, Indian, Japanese, French and Portuguese food.

Volunteering: I volonteer for different charity projects, because I feel it's so important to give back, when yur life is going well. So I try to help out at help services for drug addicts, homosexual youth with a troubled background, or in projects that help underprivileged kids to get into a professional career.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Barbra Streisand movies (the Prince of tides, Yentl, the Way we were, funny girl), Audrey Hepburn movies (Funny Face, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sabrina, Love in the Afternoon, How to steal a million, Roman Holiday).
I generally love old Hollywood, for example the Judy Garland show and Alfred Hitchcock movies.
