COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Avant la Lettre: couchsurfed while hitchhiking, when I was younger; I've also invited people home that where looking for the YouthHostel, which was far away... :-)

The last few years I often couchsurfed while I needed to be in Belgium for my studies . Some of the hosts became real friends!

Curious to who is around in this world :-)
I like to be with people, feel who they are, talk a little and exchange what we love and like. Focusing and allowing someone else to focus on their passion often is very energetic and makes us happy.
It was what I always liked when travelling. At the moment I do not have so much time to travel, but my simple excursions to Belgium can be as enriching, I found out, as travelling the world.

I like photography (a lot), it as become more than a hobby right now, but I like the results. I like food, just because it can taste so nice.
I love massage and so called 'bodywork' in general. I've learned about the ways the body shows and expresses anything that has happened and that hasn't been expressed well. The body never lies and is able to inform us about anything we need to know about. It's our instrument for being here on earth and our link to the rest of the universe too.

Oh, so much music I love. It's still the Beatles that top the bill, can't help it, love their genius(ses), all 4 of them. I love mantras and kirtan, like the genius of the Pixies and Abba evenly. Can enjoy good techno or house as well, as long as they change something before I get bored.

Movies I cannot play over and over again. Saying that, Groundhog Day is a brilliant one. But playing that one over and over is really too much, lol.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Just recently, carrying a heavy iron bed onto the beach, end of december (!), plus some portable studiolights and have a photoshoot there with an extremely brave model and a cool photographer-friend.
Working rather undisturbed to try and get the result we wanted...
It was 15 degrees (so lucky!) and 100's of people at the beach.

I love to talk but better let people experience a bit about what I studied and practition: the Postural Integration (P.I.) therapy (which I studied at the institute for BodyMind Integration in Gent - www.bodymindintegration.com, or my own little site pi-utrecht.nl)

Demo a bit of a P.I. session if you're curious. It can be life-changing... not to exaggerate. It is something you can wake me up and ask me to do.

Come visit Utrecht and stay here (but that's inherently Couchsurfing...).
