About Me
Finding inspiration through people and the world. We sure are some peculiar creatures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
People and the world! I want to explore and meet it all. I'm intrigued by stories and fascinated with adventures.
Interests
Dance grad right here. My focus is on choreography for musical theater and if you want me to tell you about my research focus, well let's grab a bottle of wine and have ourselves a 2 hour talk shall we? I do some dance for camera stuff as well (this could be an hour long convo scenario), and I mess around with photography so that I can pretend I know something about cameras. I like exploring new things and finding the odd and the magical in whats around me. I also love food... like really love food. Particularly cheeses and ice cream. I'll try mostly anything, although I will admit I can be a bit of a scaredy cat sometimes. Usually though, I get myself to at least try it. I haven't regretted it yet.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is eclectic to say the least. I listen to bands from Alt-j, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Of Monsters and Men, Ben Folds Five, to musicals like Next to Normal, The Heathers, and In the Heights. I enjoy rap as well and love me some Billy Joel and Frank Sinatra. I like to say I appreciate good music, but then again, who am I to judge?
I always say my favorite movie is Oceans Eleven, but I think that's a childhood nostalgia moment. I really like Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Her, Beautiful Mind, Pans Labyrinth, and all other sorts of stuff. I do love going to the movies. Movie dates with myself are some of my favorite experiences.
I read plays all the time. Some of my favorites are: Eigengrau, The Curious Case of the Watson Intelligence, Closer, The Glass Menagerie, and Reasons to be Pretty. I also severely enjoy the Harry Potter series, another childhood nostalgia?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba dived in Costa Rica... saw an octopus, I was maybe fifteen? I still remember being completely astounded.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share some lovely meals as well as a cozy home to crash in for a night or two. If anyone wants to geek out over Super Smash or Settlers of Catan, I'm also very down for that.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love a good conversation about life. Talk to me about politics, religion, social issues, the reason for humanity, cultures, all of it. I enjoy hypotheticals and a good what if. I also enjoy cooking, although I won't say everything I've made has been a gem. I can make you a good home cooked meal though, and if you like trying new things I've been known to whip out some of my mom's Venezuelan recipes. :-)
