About Me

I am a student, road junkie, weirdness connoisseur and I am pretty much interested in everything. I love meeting new people and having all sorts of conversations and adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the concept behind couchsurfiing and the sharing on which it depends - I also think it is a great way to meet people from all over the world.

Interests

Everything has intrigue - and amazing is often hidden beneath a thin concealed layer. All you need to do is look closer, and suspend your disbelief.

Music, Movies, and Books

This is a really hard question - there are too many! The first thing that comes to mind in terms of music is anything with a good energy and a happy vibe. Not a big fan of metal, but anything else will do.

My favourite films of all time is Baraka, Samsara and Cloud Atlas, close afterwards the incredible "Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring". Other favourite filmakers include Darren Aronofksy, Wes Anderson, Jean Pierre Jeunet and the incredible Coen Brothers.

Books are also a hard question but if I were stuck on a desert Island it would have to be The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy trilogy (Douglas Adams), The God of Small Things (Arundhati Roy), The World According to Garp (John Irving) and The unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan Kundera) and On The Road (Jack Kerouac)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had some pretty incredible experiences, but by far the highlight of all time remains a 1000km trek across Israel. And a 7500 km Roadtrip Across South Africa and Namibia.

I have seen some amazing sunrises and sunsets - each one more spectacular and humbling than the other - I am a total sucker for the magical colours, and nothing in this world can top the African Sunset that I have grown up with and love.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a great mate to practice English with and I can recommend some excellent and weird books and movies. I love to listen and learn, at the same time I might also have a few interesting stories for you 😉.
