My name is Marlena
I'm on Cousurfing since 2015/2016 where I tried it for the first time in Peru and Bolivia.
Normally, I'm studying and living in northern Germany.

Right now I am working in Popayán, Colombia, and look forward to travel the country a bit in november/december. Mucho gusto conocerte!

I've couchsurfed two times more but that was organised by my travel partner in crime - Melina Hanhart (we're friends here on CS, so you might find my name in one or two of her references, as well).

The experiences so far were really great and I wish I could have used this platform more often. Due to Covid I wasn't really active the last 2 or 3 years, so my reaction/answering time was really poor (sorry!).
That's why I'm even more happy to rediscovering it right now and maybe using it for some upcoming trips !

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

It's been some time that I watched a video called something like "Travelling the world with almost no money" when I heard about couchsurfing for the first time. And I guess that's just the dream of our generation nowadays.
When I was in Luxemburg I met some other aupairs who planned their trips with couchsurfing,too and I became curious about it.
I think that's kind of the common answer to this question but for me it is just the best possibility to meet people worldwide and to get the best insider informations far from the tourist spots. It's a community where people share the love to travel and to see the world, other countries and other cultures.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I really like Indie music (there are some alltime favorites like Milky Chance, Imagine Dragone, 21 Pilots, ...), also German Indie music (Milky Chance again, Leoniden, Giant Rooks, Kraftklub ..) and some German Hiphop/Rap (Marteria, Casper, Kummer,...)
Some pop hits from the 2000/2010 years can never be wrong, as well as some classic oldschool hits.

I love watching movies but I really can't decide on a favorite one (some good ones are Christopher Nolan movies, 500 days of summer, call me by your name, films with Tom Hanks or Leo DiCaprio in it etc.)

I should read more! I do it quite often for my studies but then there's always a certain pressure although I'm actually enjoying most of what I read.
