Marlene here! My boyfriend, Max, and I are ready to hit the road and start traveling!! We currently live in the Upstate of South Carolina in a little town called Duncan. We spend as much free time as possible hiking in the mountains. Out last adventure was a hike on the Appalachian Trail!! We are ready to start experiencing people and events all across the US.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are young and broke, therefore hotels aren't something we can swing all the time. Our lease ends in the month of February, and our first destination once we're free..... Mardi Gras!!! We are counting down the days, and see this opportunity as a new beginning. We are ready to travel, explore, meet, exchange stories, and hopefully build some lifelong friendships along the way!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Max and his younger brother spent 6 exciting months backpacking through Europe. They spent some time in Italy and participated in The Running of The Bulls!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Marlene is originally from Germany, and is fluent in German. Max is quickly learning and soon will be a fluent speaker himself. We are able to teach, or attempt to, teach German to those who are willing. We also come equipped with many survival/camping/wildlife skills.
