About Me
Hey there, I'm Marlene, 22 years old, living in Germany. I'm currently attending university so couchsurfing seems to be the perfect opportunity to travel and meet as many people as possible as that is what you do in your early twenties, right? :-)
I study economics and media but the latter is more interesting really. Still, I like it a lot, especially film, photography and social media.
I'd say I'm a rather happy person maybe quiet at the beginning though I get chatty if I feel comfortable, open-minded and friendly. Ouh, hope that doesn't sound boring..
I like to go out, do something, meet friends as I'm annoyed of myself when I'm home alone and get bored pretty fast.
By now, I'm more interested in Northern Europe. Especially England attracts me a lot. I've been there several times and I love everything about it. Definitly have to go back.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I looove the opportunity to get some insider information from locals while staying in a new place so I do not have to be in line with all the other tourists. And of course it's always a pleasure to get to know new people, spend time with them and just have a great time.
Interests
I'm not the best at spending time on my own so I like to meet my friends a lot. I've been horseback riding since I was about 10 years old, I even once owned a horse. So that is something I like to do.
If I feel like being alone I propably do what everybody else is doing: watch films or youtube, read a book, listen to music, bake (mainly things that have chocolate in them ;-))

Music, Movies, and Books
'The Broken Window' by Jeffery Deaver, 'The Neverending Story' by Micheal Ende and 'Night Film' by Marisha Pessl.
With films it is a bit harder. I Like 'Nowhere Boy' because it's just the best. I like 'About A Boy' because it is cute and funny but not cheesy. I like 'Divergent' because its suspenseful and I love Ansel Elgort. And who doesn't like 'Harry Potter' and all the other classics?!
As easy as it is to name some books, as hard is it to name bands and songs. A little bit of everything, but mainly accoustics indie stuff I think. At the moment I like Kodaline, Florence and the Machine, Tom Rosenthal,...
Teach, Learn, Share
Oh god... I'll figure something out before we meet ;-)
