My name is Marlies and I live in an appartment close to the city centre in Alkmaar; the Netherlands.
I like to meet all kinds of different people, learn about different cultures and religions and hear how other people think about life and the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going on a trek in the jungle and sleep in my hammock.
Seeing 'the real' Asia and staying on the countryside.
Driving the motorbike in the north of Laos, sleeping in villages on the way, and playing with the children from the village:)
Volunteerswork in an orphanage in the slums in Nepal; staying at the house of a local family.
