Hi, my name is Marlies and Im from the Netherlands. I love to travel whenever I can and get to know other people and their cultures. Right now due to work i havent got a lot of opportunity to go travel, but im open for hosting and meeting up with people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just spend two years in the US where I met up with people thanks to couch surfing and now im back in the Netherland I want to participate more by open my home for fellow travellers and meet up to show them my country.

Love to travel and get to know different cultures. South and Central America are my favourite places in the world and Im trying to learn Spanish to be able to communicate with the people who are living there.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Life in general is pretty amazing, i cannot choose one experience, but here is a couple:

- worked on a cattle station in Australia
- traveling solo through El Salvador, feeling like the only foreigner.
- hiking Acatenango in Guatemala and saw a volcano erupt 6 times from our campsite.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I would like to get fluent in spanish, I could teach anything to do with the dutch culture (language, cooking, customs etc).
