Overview
About Me
My name is Marlin and I use the pronouns they/them or in german em/ems. I'm a non-binary artist living in a small student town in Germany. Since a long time I'm deep into photography and music and so I spend a lot of time with it. I study documentary photography and photo journalism at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hanover. With a collective of friends I organize partys and floors on festivals and play music as DJ.
I spent a lot of time in climate activist groups, for example I organized two successful Divestment campaigns with Fossil Free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I try to get better connections with other (international) photographers and artists. To get inspired as well as for supporting each other. Journalism and photography is about storytelling. And how could I do this without any experiences. So I travel to discover new places and different people. Couchsurfing seems like an awesome possibilty to combine what I'm looking for during a journey.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In my childhood we spent the summertime in the swiss alps at a chalet. Without electricity or running water. Just having cows, goats, pigs and breathtaking nature around me. My mom made cheese and me and my sisters helped with taking care about the animals.
Countries I’ve Visited
Denmark, England, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland
