I am Marloes, 31 years old (but age is just a number ;)). I am from Holland but I've been living in Belgium for the past 9 years. I'm studying Veterinary medicine. My goal is to buy a van and travel fulltime to help stray dogs and cats abroad. Helping animals and humans and traveling are the things that set my soul on fire!

Couchsurfing has brought some amazing people into my life and I believe there is a reason for meeting every single one of them. Everyone has something to teach you and to share with you and I have experienced some wonderful connections and learning opportunities, for wich I am very grateful. I am excited to meet even more hosts and surfers in the future!

兴趣

I love animals, after I graduate I want to travel and rescue stray dogs and cats. I have an adopted cat and I am a foster mom for stray cats for a cat rescue organisation.
I love cooking and baking vegan food.
I love singing and I'm learning to play the guitar.
I love being in nature and walking barefoot, it relaxes me.
I obviously love traveling, especially hitchhiking and wild camping/couch surfing.
And last but not least, I really love connecting with amazing humans, can't get enough of that!

I listen to music every day, I can't imagine a life without it! I love to sing and I love to dance! I love a lot of different types of music.
I don't watch a lot of movies anymore, but some of the last ones I have watched and loved were Captain Fantastic, The Goddess Project and The Power of the Heart.
I love reading, but I don't find enough time to do it, the book I have just started to read is Women Who Run With the Wolves.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I've rescued a few animals that needed help, one of them was dying and I saved his life. I hope to save as many animals as I can once I have graduated!
Also becoming vegan three years ago, after ten years of being a vegetarian is one of the best choices I've ever made!
Last, but not least, I am very proud of my personal growth that I have worked very hard on for the last couple of years.
