Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have alternated between hosting and surfing for the past 4 years. Whenever I've had a couch to share it's been great to host people from all over the world, and it's also been amazing getting the favor returned to me while on travels of my own.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
The bulk of my couchsurfing experience came while on an adventure all across the southern USA for 3 months in 2008. You can check out that adventure in photo format here: http://www.myspace.com/randalpmartin/blog/466283631 ... Our hosts showed us lots of the best spots in their hometowns, and were generally interesting, generous, and accommodating people. I've also surfed on and off with various people in various cities since then, as well as hosting a myriad of surfers. Hosting has been just as great as surfing, but in a totally different way. Overall it's been a series of great experiences.
