ABOUT ME

I actually live in Western Australia, in Mandurah, 90km south of Perth. Yahoo must have it's servers in Melbourne!
I love the beach, exploring new places, feeling the history of a place. A student of Life, I know I can learn (and give) so much from people. Many years ago I lived and hitch-hiked in Europe from Spanish Sahara to Denmark with pack on back and baby on hip. Now the kids are grown and gone and I am free to pursue a new career, maybe helping young travellers, teaching English somewhere or volunteering in a place where I can be of use.
I love laughing and quick witted conversations, to listen to music and dance uninhibited or to sit quietly and drink in the beauty of this world and it's people. Life is Awesome. Carpe Diem.
Now I have left home and am searching for that place to be. Did the TESL course in Prague and am now wandering where the Universe tells me to go. I am discovering so many places I never knew existed and meeting amazing people!!!! It is people who make this life worthwhile. I am humbled by the openness and acceptance of them all.

PHILOSOPHY

There is no such thing as a problem, only a solution that hasn't been found yet!
I have leaned that resentment is like swallowing poison and waiting for the other person to die.
I know that the difference between a rut and a grave is the depth.
To live is to give.

I have hosted a few time in Australia and loved it. Been hosted a few times as well and loved it also. I just love to talk to new people and hear their stories and opinions. There is always room for growth.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My son has been a host many times and his travellers have been such fun!
I have hosted a few times in Australia and met such wonderful people. I am sad they have not been able to stay longer.
I have kindly been hosted in London, Athens and Poland and look forward to both hosting and being hosted again.

I have just returned from 15 weeks over landing around South America and then 25 days around the Yucatan Peninsular! Amazing sites and sights.....Moreno glacier, Iguazu Falls and snorkeling in a Mexican Denote cave!
