Hello! My name is Marina. I'm from Mendoza (Argentina), a city famous for the production of wine and sunny days (they say we have almost 300 sunny days per year). I started traveling 4 years ago and now I am in Europe for three months. I will be most of the time in Poland. I am going to teach Spanish to students of the University of Krakow. I am very excited for the classes! I enjoy teaching my language and I also love sharing with students the things that I value most about my country and my culture. In my free time I will try to travel a little to see new countries and cities of Europe. Hope to see you in the road!

Mis mejores experiencias viajando han sido cuando he tenido la oportunidad de pasar tiempo con personas locales. He aprendido sobre la cultura del lugar y he descubierto cosas que no habría conocido sin la ayuda de esas personas.
Estoy en Couchsurfing porque quiero conocer las ciudades que visito desde otra perspectiva. Me gusta compartir tiempo con los hosts, escuchar historias sobre sus países, aprender sobre sus idiomas y sus tradiciones. Disfruto mucho hablar con las personas sobre Argentina y siempre viajo con algunas cositas de mi país (generalmente comida, claro).

Interessi

I am a very curious person and everything interests me a lot :) My main field of studies are social sciences, communication, politics and linguistics, but I also enjoy learning about anything else. A regular day in my life includes some hours of reading, time to exercise and run, and some series or movie when I have more free time.
When I travel, I am interested in knowing everything about the places I visit. I am interested in learning about the history and culture of the place. I enjoy trying new foods and listening to the most popular music of the place.
I am always very grateful to people who are willing to share information and fun facts with me :)

Musica, film e libri

I love reading. I mostly read novels, poetry and essays. You know that terrible feeling when you realize that you left home without your cell phone? That's exactly the way I feel when I forget to put a book in my backpack (I do also feel that way when I forget my phone).
It is hard to choose a favorite book. I love latin american writers, e.g. Borges, Cortázar, Benedetti, García Marquéz, Neruda, Gelman, and so on. I enjoy classic writers and I'm always willing to discover new talents :)

Les Misérables, by Victor Hugo, Rayuela, by Julio Cortázar and El Aleph, by Jorge Luis Borges are definitely on my top five.

I whatch all kind of movies and I listen to all kind of music. Con un café o una cerveza puedo contarte un poco más sobre mis preferencias en este área.

I have a mate and a lot of yerba to share the most traditional drink of Argentina with you! Mate for us is not just a drink, but it is mainly a ritual in which the most important thing is to share with friends and have a good time. I would love to have a good conversation with you while drinking argentinian mate!
I'm a spanish teacher, so if you are learning spanish or if you have always wanted to be able to roll your tongue as we hispanic do, we can organise a fun class. I'm always happy to share argentinian music and, if we have enough time, we could try to cook one of our traditional dishes.
