About Me
CURRENT MISSION
immersing myself in the world
ABOUT ME
I am friendly, open-minded, and love to learn about and experience new things. I am an educator, a musician, a dancer, a friend, a sister... a contemplative and an outgoing person... a dutiful and a spontaneous person... i work with children with disabilities in schools and am currently getting my masters degree in applied behavior analysis. I perform as a fire dancer (poi and hula hoop) and play the oboe, keyboard, vocals, random pieces of metal or music boxes... and just generally appreciate the beauty in sound and in sight around me.
PHILOSOPHY
honesty is very important to me. open communication. respecting human and non-human life, treating people with kindness. staying focused and goal-driven without losing sight of relaxing and enjoying the present moment. seeking out experiences, people and places that inspire me, and create feelings of awe and wonder. constantly seeking to understand myself better and learn about the world around me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh! I went to Costa Rica when I was around 14. We climbed up this rocky volcano and then came down the opposite side of it. The opposite side was 3-4 feet of soft fine ash, so each step you took, you would slide down 4-5 feet. It was like moonwalking - giant steps! we flew down the side of the volcano!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have extensive knowledge of the study of behavior from a psychological perspective and its application to schooling to optimize educational opportunities for students with and without disabilities.
I also have taught and performed as a fire dancer, and can teach poi, hoop and other dance skills.
I have performed as a musician for many years and am familiar with running sound systems and playing some musical instruments - my most fluent instrument is the oboe.
