About Me

I am a theatre directing and dramaturgy graduate from Prague, currently trying to pretend I still don't need to get a proper job. I have lived and studied in London for five months and often come back; I love travelling to cities with great history and artistic scene.

I am a slightly boring person who doesn't really like to party, you've been warned! But I love to meet people and spend some quality time with them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to make new friends from different cultural backgrounds, to travel and to broaden my horizons in every way!

Interests

My greatest passion is theatre, that's both my hobby and my job. I also love art, films, books. I'm really interested in other people's passions, learning what different jobs entail and how things work.

I have a weakness for everything British - I try to improve my English as I really like to translate and I'd like to know everything about the British culture and life.

I enjoy singing very much, even though I know I'm not very good :-) I have played the piano for years and tap danced, but those skills are sadly mostly forgotten. More recently I've been a big fan of Argentine tango.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching psychological, character-based films, mostly British. The Hours, American Beauty, The Remains of the Day, Notes on a Scandal, Vera Drake... TV series: Broadchurch, Happy Valley. Comedy: Victoria Wood, David Mitchell.

Music......als? Did anyone say Sondheim?

Reading is great, currently getting back into fiction after years of only having time for plays and academic stuff...but I'm killing my Goodreads goal this year.
