Overview
About Me
21 years of age, I'm the 7th of 9 kids. I hail from the very beautiful St. John's, Newfoundland on the most Eastern Canadian Coast (essentially I was born in the Atlantic, that's how East I am).
I've recently uprooted from my beautiful island of Newfoundland to study on the equally beautiful island of Ireland. Perhaps my choice of location proves I need to be near the ocean and I wouldn't argue if anyone tried to convince me of this. I love the ocean. I love the sun. I love the sky in all it's magical portrayals. I feel most alive when I'm in nature but I also love to explore new cities and meet new people. I am addicted to laughing and love to share that with others. Smiling too. Can't get enough of it.
I'm currently completing a BA in psych and sociology and hope to move on to Occupational Therapy to work with children when all is said and done. That way I should be able to learn something new everyday. I worked at a summer camp the past four years and am hoping to work with special needs campers at a new camp this coming summer. Kids teach you the most. I swear.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm couch surfing because I strongly affirm that what goes around, comes around. While traveling I feel it also beneficial to learn about the area from a native to that area. I've been studying abroad in Ireland for the past few months and when I return home to Newfoundland, Canada will be offering up as many couches as I can fit in my space to lovely humans in gratitude of those I hope to be helped by along my travels. Currently I'm planning a 5 week backpacking trip across Europe with my lovely sister, which will begin once my semester in Ireland ends. I've traveled lots while over here and I still have a couple more trips before the semester ends mid-May. I've got the travel bug! And would love to share my enthusiasm of meeting new people in exciting places with as many as will let me:)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd like to think that there are many amazing things I've done because experiences can be as incredible as you let them be. However, if I have to pick one- I'd say a ten-day canoe trip through Algonquin park in Ontario, Canada, filled with glorious paddles and challenging but rewarding portages. The sun was hot, the swims in the lakes were magic, the campfires each night were perfect, and the peace and calm I felt throughout the ten days is unforgettable.
