Overview
About Me
After hiking Te Araroa, NZ's national trail 🥾, currently enjoying and working in Queenstown ❄️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I originally registered with Couchsurfing for my "first" long journey : I did a tour of Europe with the Interrail train ticket during summer 2015. I was with a Spanish friend and we found two hosts during this trip, firstly in Warsaw and then in Amsterdam. This has really given me the desire to host couchsurfers in return, which I did.
I want to meet new people and spend time with locals when I am abroad. I would love to have someone showing me the area and share some bits of local daily life, but there is no need to babysit me if you offer me a place to stay as I can wander by myself easily.
Interests
My most precious good is my backpack, which I hope I will be able to take to many more places :)
I'd like to try hitchhiking more often. I love being in the outdoors and I enjoy nature, so I am generally active during a holiday or a trip. I'm fond of activities such as hiking, via-ferrata or mountain-related sports. I love being in the wild and I am a fan of camping.
I also enjoy city trips when they allow me to discover more cultural aspects of the country.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read crime novels (swedish sagas, Stephen King, Mary Higgins Clark, Camilla Lackberg...) or fantasy sagas. Yup, also a huge fan of Harry Potter.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have walked the West Highland Way, a 7-days hike in Western Scotland, carrying my backpack and doing wild camping. Amazing week where I met a really nice german girl. I finished it with climbing the highest peak of Britain (ok, that's only 1344m, but still !). Continued with other hikes (GR20, Tour du Mont Blanc, Chemin de Stevenson, Tour du Beaufortain...)
Currently hiking the length of New Zealand on Te Araroa, a long distance hike of 3000kms, enjoying every single bit of it ⛺️🥾
Teach, Learn, Share
If anyone is interested about learning French, I'd love to help ! I'd love to become fluent in Spanish !
Currently hiking a long-distance trail (Te Araroa in New Zealand), I can help with advice about planning your first hike, overnight camping trip, or thru-hike !
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am easy-going, respectful and curious !
I can cook (but don't expect Michelin cuisine haha ;) ) for my hosts and I can help you practice French if you're interested !
Countries I’ve Lived In
Argentina, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Gabon, New Zealand, Scotland
