Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm from California, born and raised. I lived in Miami for four years and from there I left to travel Central and South America for a year. I am learning Spanish as I go and after 7 months I speak enough of the language to get by okay. I love hiking, camping, snow-skiing and most outdoor activities. I am a big reader and am always reading a book. I am a very calm person but also love making jokes. I am a freelance writer so I spend quite a bit of time on my computer as I complete assignments. I'm incredibly curious and especially about the Latin American culture so I ask a lot of questions or observe others a lot! I love meeting people and getting to know others, deeply, if possible. Hence this big year long solo trip :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Living with families and locals has given me a glimpse into the culture and families along the way. Now that I'm settled in Ecuador I also want to open my home to other backpackers/travelers that are passing through Guayaquil.
