Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I will dis-orientate you just to show you there was never so much abundance in the choice of direction as when one is lost...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
(caution: all info written 6 wild years ago; consider character changes due to irrevocable traumas of growing up!, spiritual tattooed cats stretched to lions on the inside of skin; rhysomic roots found deep inside while climbing out of myself so not as airborne as before )
I travel with wide-open eyes drinking up all I see, my heart is easily inspired and I feel at home on the road. Don't care for destinations much as long as the path I am on has a heart. I am a museum-nut, would move to live in the Louvre if I could. The two hedgehogs in my pants leave me restless, so I have to go to as many cultural events as I can ( grew up going to the theatre every week, love exhibitions, concerts, etc). Inner chaos and impulsiveness stuck to my desire to experience all I can dictate the majority of my choices. No need to seek logic or rationality in them. I guess the only consistency that I allow myself is being like the fox in The Little Prince: trying to make ties with the world. I will excuse every step with the desire to experience ...Here is where CouchSurfing comes in handy. It fits my longing for adventure and a constant new horizon. hitch-hiking is fun when done literally, but also down Metaphorical Lane,as a belief that we all travel in the same direction, where we come from or where we go couldn't matter less, as long as we find a place we belong to. sleeping on the beach is romantic ( there was never any romance in predictability was there?), sleeping on a stranger's couch is allowing yourself an adventure in mystery: you make up the puzzle with just a few pieces, a few portraits on the wall with people you might never meet but matter enough to be someone's framed affection, a few new book suggestions, a few quirks that you might include in a story you will write ten years from now... I am too much of a dreamer to perceive CouchSurfing as practicality to safe money. It's rather an essential part of the journey. For those who worry they don't have anything to offer but a floor space for a sleeping bag: for the record: I would sacrifice much from my comfort for the sake of creating a memory. What happened to people committing heroism in peaceful times? Chesterton said that angels fly because they take themselves lightly. Pretty valid for my experiences and the way I perceive them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Start fire with a spindle on my own.
Spent my eighteenth birthday in a cave.
Every time I go back to Bulgaria, I hug my mom at the airport and I find home again.
Was probably the only person who was about to be run over by a plane for the sake of a present.
Tackled a tarantula in my sink.
Every time I fall in love, I fall in love for the first time.
Countries I’ve Visited
