Hello! I am Mar, a travel girl from Argentina who loves wildlife, art, design, music and life to the fullest. I believe that the best treasure from a trip is the people you meet in the way. I am a pacifist, vegetarian (but I can share with people that aren´t just perfectly) and very enthusiastic person.
I am not into religion, but would love to check out budism since I love silence and meditation. I truly enjoy good conversation and interesting hangout with interesting people. I love to listen when they talk.
I walk a lot (helps me think and feel the universe going) and love dancing and surfing too.
I have this dream of travelling around the world since I am 6 years old i think and actually making it happen.
I am a dreamer and maybe sometimes idealistic person, super positive and very friendly.
Just love adventuring myself into nature, animals are my favourite "thing" in the world.
Curiosity and creativity are my daily basis words.
Be happy and help others being happy too.
I like cooking for my friends and they say i make the best pizza! ;)

Hola! Soy Mar, una chica viajera de Argentina que ama la vida salvaje, el arte, el diseño, la música y la vida al máximo. Yo creo que el mejor tesoro de un viaje es la gente que conoces en el camino. Soy pacifista, vegetariana y muy entusiasta.
Me interesa investigar sobre el budaísmo, amo el silencio y la meditación. Realmente disfruto de una buena conversación con gente interesante. Soy buena escuchando.
Camino mucho y mis pasiones son: los animales, dibujar, bailar y escribir.
Tengo el sueño de dar la vuelta al mundo desde los 6 años y en eso estoy ahora.

A veces puedo estar horas frente a mi computadora, trabajando. No te ofendas, es lo que me mantiene viajando.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Today, I think of it as a full way of travelling. I think that´s what this is. This is not for anyone but everyone should experience it at least a few times in their lifes, because it really changes the way you see society, I think.
For some, could be a free way of moving around at the beginning, but then, when you taste it, you get the real deal. Meeting people, listening to other points of view, converting strangers into friends and basically enriching your life in every way possible.
So I guess I am here to put my life out there and make the network grow, the sharing network.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC is a passion, so this list could never end, i will just say: almost everything that has a message that i can take. Basically, not heavy metal? (I guess) but everything else. I go from classic to rock, passing trough reggae music, folk (maybe not so much country), ska, some specific pop, but a lot of "alternative". I am into all the biggest bands, from Rolling Stones to Metállica, AC/DC, Dylan, Marley & his family, just feel salsa (and all kinds of latin) in my blood. I can just keep going: Janis J., Hendrix, Nina Simone, did i mention Gun´s? Not really, we better just share spotify´s account. It´s never ending story.

MOVIES another passion. Men, this can take hours to fill up. :) I can resume saying i love cinema from black and white to todays. Maybe not too much "american style love story" but everything else?. Lets use this as an example of what I like: classics like Back to the Future and all from Wes Anderson, Tim Burton, just love cinema.

BOOKS not reading as much as I wish I was, but i go crazy in libraries, want to get everything.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have navigated the Amazonas from the Pacific to the Atlantic shore.

Navegué el río más largo del mundo, el Amazonas, en una travesía que duró 21 días, desde Yurimaguas, Perú hasta Belém, Brasil. Atravesando la increíble selva amazónica, pueblitos a la orilla del río, aldeas muy pequeñas con valientes pobladores, en barcos de carga de personas y mercadería, en el 2013.

I have travelled around Latinamerica fron Argentina to Mexico by land.

Realizé la travesía del Camino del Inca, inolvidables sensaciones y hermosos recuerdos, en el 2013.
