CURRENT MISSION

I have been involved in internationalization of science and technology for quite a long time now, and at this point I am committed to the marine sciences in Colombia. Work hard and visit some other countries and cities.

ABOUT ME

My professional life is one of the most important issues in my life, I have spent a lot of time and energy in building up my career and achieving the goals I set to myself. Evolving from teaching 9 year olders to working in higher education at the administrative level, I am now deeply engaged in marine science and the strenghtening of the marine sciences in Colombia.

But do not be fooled by my drive and commitment, I cherish profoundly free time activities: I love volleyball, riding bikes hiking and many other sports. In fact, for several year I have been a urban cyclist in the different cities where I lived: Bogotá, Cali (Colombia), Berlin and Freiburg (Germany).

When I travel I try to do it big time! Traveling is an amazing way to disconnect.

PHILOSOPHY

What can I say, I recently discovered that my personality type might be described as Debater, I have to admit I love when a great idea or talk move your head upside down!

Interests

I am very interested in working abroad, after making my masters degree in Germany I have worked for more than five years in my home country. At this point it is important for me to start over with new challenges and new cultures.

Quite naturally, I have always been surrounded by learning, teaching and sharing, my parents are teachers, I studied Math teaching, and the Master I developed in Berlin was all about teaching, learning and sharing in multicultural societies.
