My current mission is to run 31 half marathons in 2013.

ABOUT ME

I am a young 57 year old grandma of eight fun grandkids. Recently I decided to become more physically active than I have ever been, challenging myself, amazing my family and having fun doing it. I like to dress up when I run. My husband and I now have fun playing with our three cute Shelties. I love making lists and being organized. I may seem a bit quiet but love meeting new people and going new places.

Interests

My passion currently is running. Never a runner in my youth, in 2011 I was out of breath trying to run a 5K. So to fix that, I signed myself up for a marathon! I diligently trained for it and so far in my two years of running (Galloway run/walk) I have completed 10 marathons and 33 half marathons. Qualified to join 2 clubs, the Marathon Maniacs and Half Fanatics. My greatest marathon achievement was 3 marathons in 3 different states in 7 days! What is fun about running? Why dressing up! And scenery, and especially the positive people - young and old that I meet. I also enjoy hiking, Disney pin trading, road biking, travel, quotes, genealogy, fishing, reading, travel, music, sewing, knitting and dog agility.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a great plot in my movies, throw in some romance, a message and some action. In books I love authors such as Mary Higgins Clark, Dorothy Gilman, Lee Child, Janet Evanovich, J.K. Rowling, Jude Deveraux, Stuart Woods....Mystery, Romance, Whatever, I just love to be entertained by words. I also like learning in greater detail, so I read about subjects such as nutrition, dogs, fitness, etc.
