About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Listen, learn, look, love. FRENCH!

ABOUT ME

Me:I am random by design. I like to take risks. I am adaptive. I am inquisitive and reflective. I am creative and inspired. I am obsessive.

Lately I have been obsessed with reading about chemistry, game theory, computer science, aesthetics, triangles, philosophy, semiotics, creative movement, essay writing.

I love to learn, try on new ideas, and explore alternate perspectives. I love to be outdoors hiking, skiing, backpacking, climbing, and kayaking. I love to meet new people, and listen to their stories. I love to read, think, and write. I love making art.

I travel often and seek out new adventures both far away and in my own backyard. I love to meet and learn about new people and have been told that I am a gifted listener. Since I am perpetually experimenting with reality, I relish in discovering new ideas and new perspectives.

I am a physical person so I like to push the boundaries of my skin, to escape it in a sense, through exertion, deprivation, stimulation, etc. I like to feel alive.

I love to learn and read and take both pursuits very seriously. I'm enjoying my new incarnation as a student of the sciences, and spend a good portion of my week studying and looking in microscopes. If science is your jam, let's talk. If programming is your jam, let's nerd out together.

PHILOSOPHY

Not all desires lead to freedom, but freedom is the experience of a desire being acknowledged, chosen and pursued. Desire never concerns the mere possession of something, but the changing of something. Desire is a wanting. A wanting now. Freedom does not constitute the fulfillment of that wanting, but the acknowledgment of its supremacy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host and hope to surf during my next adventure.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my year living in Paris, I hosted, on average, one person a week. This experience changed my perspective on the world, as I had the privilege to learn about other cultures, lifestyles, and interests.

I have had the good fortune to surf with some of the most beautiful people in the world, and learn from their experiences. DC. Austin. Paris. Berlin. Wow, I didn't know there was so many ways to show heart, to show love. I am so lucky to meet these people!

Interests:My favorite things are trees, mountains, lakes, rivers, stars, autumn and summer, flowers, road trips, people, books, bikes, rocks, music, exercise, conversation, art, debates, good food, surprises, adventure, animals, teaching and learning, and emotions.
