Hi everybody!

My name is Martina and currently live in Beirut, Lebanon.
I have studied Political Science in Bologna and when I finished my bachelor's degree I moved to London for a year and to Cairo for a couple of months. Then I started my masters degree during which I lived 6 month in Jordan and 6 months in Istanbul. I went back to Italy where I completed my studies and worked for some years with refugees. My job has then brought me to Nicosia in Cyprus and now in Lebanon, Beirut.

What else? As you could understand I love travelling, especially in my beloved Middle East.
I love the culture, the food, but especially the people. Always so kind and hospitable! I have been trying to learn Arabic but it seems a mission impossible for me!

I love meeting people from all over the world and talk about everything, especially politics!

We are a very lucky generation and we constantly have the chance to travel and meet people with different backgrounds and experiences than us and I'm trying to do it as much as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have hosted a couple of people when I was living in Bologna and in Trento, I have been hosted for some days in Oslo by a Czech erasmus student and in Beirut last summer.
I've loved the experience and I want to repeat it.

Interests

As I already said my favorite thing to do is travelling and meeting people from all over the world. I miss it so much!!

I like learning new languages (at least I try), reading, studying and talking about politics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Cairo during the Revolution despite everyone else leaving and despite the fact that my parents were threatening to disown me. :)
