About Me

Hello! I’m Marta 🌻

I am a free spirit with a deep appreciation for life's beautiful simplicities. My life philosophy? Step lightly through this world, choose empathy and kindness, and find joy in the little moments all around you.

Some things about me:

I moved to Denver from Philly in Sept 2022 and am slowly discovering the magic of the west.

I am at my happiest surrounded by natural beauty with the sun on my face.

I love to cook! Mediterranean and Mexican food are my favorite.

I’m fascinated with film, art and architecture. My favorite artists are Georgia O’Keeffe, Gustav Klimt, Halma af Klint and Agnes Pelton.

Music is magic. I listen to an eclectic mix of genres and frequently go to shows.

I am fully vaccinated and excited to welcome Couchsurfers into my new home!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely adore this community of people! I've connected with so many incredible humans through this platform, and it's always a pleasure to share a moment together and get a glimpse into each other's lives. Hosting also gives me the opportunity to show off my home and my city, which I love to do :)

Music, Movies, and Books

If you like Lotus, Glass Animals, Leon Bridges, Cotton Jones, Iron and Wine, The Beatles, Khrungbin or anything groovy and psychedelic, we’ll get along.

Some of my favorite movies are Before Sunrise, Y Tu Mamá También?, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, The Red Shoes, Interstellar, Daisies and The Truman Show.

I’m currently reading "House of Rain”, the story of the migration of the Ancestral Puebloan people across the American Southwest. It’s captured my imagination in the biggest way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Road-tripped solo from Philly to the easternmost point of Maine, camping along the way. And more recently, moved cross-country!
