One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2022 I lived with different families and shepherds in the Albanian alps (Kelmendi and Theth region). Hiked with them and their animals to the high pastures.

With one group of shepherds, the weather conditions were quite extreme. When we had hiked for almost 9 hours, thunderstorm started but there was no roof nor anything. I also didn’t have any camping-gear nor rain-proof clothes with me. The shepherds started to build a shelter from pieces of wood and plastic. I was soaking wet and freezing and had no idea how long I’m going to stay there because of the language-barrier.
