About Me

I just finished my four year degree in a University in Canada, where I studied Psychology and Criminology. I am taking the next few years to explore the rest of the world, meet new people and create new memories.

My background is Polish, and both my parents come from Poland. I speak it fluently at home, and Poland is definitely one of my favourite places to visit when I travel to Europe.

I am very laidback, and enjoy taking it one day at a time. I usually do not have a plan, and enjoy taking it easy. I also love to meet new people, and to exchange stories. There are so many cool stories out there, and it is interesting to see what people have lived through, and what they have seen. I love anything to do with the outdoors, which includes hiking, biking, running, camping and skiing. The rain never throws me off, and in fact I love being outside when it rains! I love scenic viewpoints, and will hike for hours just to catch a sun setting or rising over the mountains...or anywhere to be honest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think this is an absolutely amazing way to meet new people and to hear other people's stories. Everyone has something to share, and I think it's a great way to make new friends. A hostel provides a big party atmosphere, but I feel that being on couchsurfing actually creates lasting friends. I have not surfed yet, and am very excited to get started! I would also love to host people as soon as I get a permanent place. I am currently travelling all over the place and do not have a place I could actually host people in...but as soon as I do I would love to have people over.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent three months in Rwanda last summer, staying with a host family and working at a local centre. The people I met were absolutely amazing, and I feel that the most valuable things I have learnt so far has been in Rwanda. It gave me a new perspective on how I view my life, and also how I view travelling. It gave me a good chance to be immersed in a culture I had never experienced before.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some stories and experiences over a good cup of coffee or a great glass of red wine. I also speak a few languages, but I also love to learn new ones. So if you'd like to teach or to learn, I would love to meet you. I have a lot more to see, and I also love to hear other people's stories.
