About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Friend!!!! I've been looking all over for you.

ABOUT ME

We're a couple of footloose and fancy free souls. Not so long ago, we had individual profiles, but there was no point in having two profiles for the same house (or two traveling vagabonds surfing together. So here we are now.

We've been hosted and have hosted and love the dynamics each one has. So we strive to be the best of each.
If being hosted: Thy shall be neat, take care of some sort of meal situation by either making it or buying it, and do our part of the clean up, and most importantly be genuinely intrigued for the time frame we have to get to know you.
If we're hosting: We'll do what we can to make accommodations comfy, clean and friendly. Show you the beauty and quirkiness of Charlotte or simply spend the day in, hanging out... but either way you'll like it. You will. You will like it...
As for Marta:
I'm spacey, geeky, friendly and open-minded, and I appreciate souls which are the same. Yes I like to drink, and yes I will share. Not really a smoker, unless... :) I love observing, daydreaming, creating and destroying, laughing, hugging, yelling, singing. I Watch independent films like no one's business, listen to music, read whatever is in front of me. Like sleeping under warm blankets, sipping chai tea, making paper cranes, exploring alleys for treasures, eating at BYOB restaurants... I'm an animal lover, tofu cooker, christams-lights-all-year-round-afficionado...can't really parallel park, but I throw down on a massage table and I'm learning all about the coolness and magic of Reiki energy. I like hanging out in the company of randomness and in my awesome house. Lights out at my house is soooo fluctuating, pretty much whenever you turn them off.
And here's Perry:
I like to listen to music, lot's of music. I'm not an expert or anything, I just know what I like. I'm not hip to the new and the cool but I'm open to suggestions. I've been playing my own for a good while now and I occasionally get to travel to other towns with my band and meet all sorts of new people. I'm a big believer in supporting the traveling musician so that's one of the reasons I wanted to join this site. I'm also a big believer in being kind to others, it's really not that hard. Even if if you pretend it still does the trick. Just a smile is all you need. I try my best to not kill all the plants in our house and to grow more than I can manage in my two outdoor raised garden beds. Sometimes I talk a lot and sometimes I'm really quiet. Sometimes I'm drunk and sometimes I'm sober. I'm always a lover and never a fighter. If you're not a pretender then you are perfectly welcome to stay with us. We'll try our best to make you feel comfy.

PHILOSOPHY

You chose the path in front of you, so love it. If you don't, then change it. We're all ears to hear yours out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Marta: Climbed some pretty cool things, like pyramids in Mexico and the great wall in China.
Perry: I was on tour in upstate NY a few years back and went to Niagara Falls on a day off. Two people in wheel chairs were coming towards me and they were holding hands and smiling and we said hello as they passed by. I looked back at the happy couple and the lady on the left had a sign that read "Just". The guy on the right had a sign that read "Married".

Teach, Learn, Share

Paper cranes, ever wanted to know how to make one or a thousand of them. I'm your gal.
