ABOUT ME
I am a very openminded and friendly girl, always willing to learn from other people's experiences and cultures.
I really enjoy chatting, socialising, being with people, doing mad things!!! But I can be quite calm when the situation requieres it.
I studied Translation and Interpreting in Spain and right now I'm a postgraduate student in London.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted some people but, of course I'd like to increase my experience in CS hosting and being hosted!!!
I've also met people in CS meetings and I've always spent a great time together with them!!!
Interests
Apart from cinema, music and books, which I'll list hereunder... these are some of my interests, you must sent me a message if you want to know which other I have =D
I love travelling, specially those trips where you have to wake up really early to visit every corner of a city, every church, every building, every museum, every local shop or restaurant. I don't mind going late to sleep and starting the day when the sun rises. I think that travelling has the power of teaching you so much that it would be a mistake not making the most of it.
Together with trips and getting to know other cities and countries, one of my passion has always been learning languages. In fact, languages became so important in my life that I decided to study translation and becoming a bridge between cultures. Language is the entrance door to cultures and people.
I love cooking and I love eating. Since I was a child I've been a freak of food and all the world around it: cookbooks, tv shows, restaurants... I prepared my first Paella when I was 12 and since then I'm always trying to find the time to spend some hours in the kitchen. Did I told you that languages was the door to cultures and people? Well, food IS the door.
Now, I am more into wine and I've been reading some enology and wine-tasting books, but I am still a beginner :P
Anyway, what would it be travelling, speaking, cooking, drinking if you're on your own? Nothing. The key point are people and here's one of my favorites hobbies: socialising!!! I really LOVE MEETING PEOPLE!!! Getting to know people from different cultures, with different backgrounds helps to create an own identity. And WTF? It's great being surrounded by friends and people you love. Loving people is one of the best things in live!!!

Music, Movies, and Books
FILMS: I've always loved watching films and I find really difficult to list my favourite ones or even my favourite genres.
Some directors I really like: Hayao Miyazaki, Wes Anderson, Woody Allen and many more in fact.
Some films: Goodbye Lenin, A Straight Story, Bigfish, NIghtmare before Christmas,
TV SERIES: here is where I keep my most secret guilty pleasures... (as many crap watch as loved). Last seen/currently watching: Misfits, The Inbetweeners, Luther, Californication, The IT Crowd, Entourage, Bored to Death, Game of Thrones, Damages...
and of course: ANIME! (together with manga) I've seen many shojo series such as Marmalade boy, Sailor Moon, Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne; and some others a little bit more serious, like Revolutionary Girl Utena or Nana; but I fancy many others: Death Note, Detective Conan, Inuyasha, Ranma, Cowboy Bebop. ^^
MUSIC: I think the most eclectic list would come out in here.
I love indie music and electro (take the lineup of Reading or Glastonbury festivals in the UK of FIB in Spain and you'd have an idea of what I am talking about). From Arctic Monkeys to Pendulum, from Boys Noize to Klaxons, Kings of Leon, Herman Düne, I'm pretty sure I'd like the most of the bands you'd find.
I also like the Spanish "independent" scene: Supersubmarina, Sidonie, Lori Meyers, La casa roja...
BOOKS: If you asked me which of all my hobbies I've kept since my childhood, reading is probably the one. I've read a lot, and unfortunately I don't have that much time now so I usually spend my freetime during holidays and summer reading. One of my favourite books since always: Alfanui by Rafael Sánchez Ferlosio. My list is such a big list that you should surf my couch a couple of days to discover those books I've really enjoyed.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was walking along Charing Cross Road in London and met Jamie Oliver dressed up like a nugget. I know you'll be thinking: "So what? ¬¬" But I don't lie when I say that I AM A REAL COOKING FAN!!! Hugging a famous TV Chef: I almost die!!! xD
