About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be kind, be courageous, have fun AND help others!

ABOUT ME

I love life and adventure and I can't stand to be bored. I never tire of learning new things and I desperately want to see as much of the world as I can manage. Newlywed to my best friend, Terrance and determined to honeymoon for the rest of our lives. We just bought a house and have managed to unpack almost everything. Work keeps me busy and traveling a lot but hoping to help coordinate some more local stuff with the Little Rock CSers now that I'm firmly planted down here (former Fayetteville CSer). Oh yeah, I'm also trying to figure out how to get to Europe and couchsurf for a week or so SOON without going broke. Promised myself I'd do a Jane Austen tour and I mean to get that done!

PHILOSOPHY

Go hard or go home!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I've mostly participated in local events. I'm hoping to do more traveling soon so I'd like to host more and make friends I can in turn visit in the future.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen water split at the Continental Divide, I've stood in the National Mall where King gave his "I Have a Dream Speech". I sat across the table from Daisy Bates in her home before her passing. I was blessed to be in the presence of Rosa Parks. I've interviewed Jessie Jackson. Sang for the Black Congressional Caucus. Danced with the Alvin Ailey company. Dined with the Zambian Acappella. Marveled at the masters of jazz who are Wynton and Bradford Marsalis and Christian McBride. And I'm so ready for the next adventure!

Teach, Learn, Share

Whatever I know I'm willing to share from cooking to crocheting.
