About Me
Hello travelers, here is Marta. I finished my studies in Cultural Communication and I've been traveling around Latin America for almost 2 years now!
This is my mission: Discover, learn, enjoy, feel and share all the moments in every places with everyone!
I lived for a year outside my country for studies -six months in Santiago de Chile and six months in Bangor, Wales-.
I'm open minded, with a lot of interests and always with a smile in my face. I can describe myself as an optimistic, a dreamer and a creative person, although I'm also interested in the reality we are living, the world that we are making together right now.
I used to live in a lovely apartment located in the old part of my town. Girona is amazing, but I feel I need to explore every land! Getting lost in unfamiliar places is just incredible. The world is too awesome to stay home!
My philosophy: I take life as a travel, enjoying every situation and making the most of every moment.
Everyone has something special to teach and to share!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Sharing, exchanging, laughing, teaching, learning... That's the reason I'm here, because we are humans and we have something to give and to recieve.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I hosted surfers from Germany, Holland, Australia, USA... The experience is always very good because couchsurfers have that feeling of exchange cultures and to have fun together.
I went to Marrakech with two friends and we stayed with a local. We became very close friends and also with the other travelers who were there. One of my best trips ever!
I also travelled to Gran Canaria with a friend and we stayed with a nice woman who took us around the best beaches on the south, and with a community of hippies between the mountains. What a great adventure, it was awesome!
Interests
I love the world. I love to travel, to learn languages, reading, art, life music, the sea, old and new movies, dancing, good company, laughing, good food, exchanging opinions and sharing. I do theatre, I do photography, I write songs, I play the guitar, I'm always doing stuff. I can't stop. Sometimes I think that the day doesn't have enough hours!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Shawshank Redemption, Full Metal Jacket (in general all Kubrick's), The Truman Show
Music: Norah Jones, Selah Sue, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Strokes, Alborosie, Bob Marley. I actually like almost all kind of music, reggae in particular. Much better if it's live music!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been into the Sahara desert. I recommend it to everyone. AWESOME.
I also travelled in the San Pedro de Atacama desert (north of Chile), in Bolivia and Perú, backpacking. This is one of the most amazing things I've ever done.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to improve my english, german and french, and learn all about the place and the people I'm going to visit.
At the same time I can teach the languages I speak (Spanish and Catalan), play the guitar, explain all about my culture...Everything is posible if we do it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share joy, good vibes, music, laughs, good experiences, and my happiness.
I also like to share my language, my own songs, my guitar knowledge and my way to live.
