About Me

I am currently living in Smithers, BC, and am taking a little break this Spring before jumping back into work!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My greatest joys in life are being outdoors, hiking, climbing, spending time with friends, meeting new people, and jamming with my guitar (albeit terribly). By joining the couchsurfing community (so far more-so through hitchhiking than through this app) I've met so many amazing people, gone on unexpected adventures, and created memories I could only dream about had I stuck to hostels and motels. I love that couchsurfing connects me with people with similar philosophies, interests, and a common thread of kindness. I can't wait to settle down and become a host so I can give back to the community as well.

Interests

I love to hike - long or short distances, as long as the journey's fun and the view is great. I also love to rock climb - so far I've mainly climbed indoors and in Jasper, but I hope to broaden my experience outdoors soon! Apart from other outdoor pursuits (like kayaking), I enjoy a captivating read, cool movie, and good music. And above all, good people!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently I fell down a super steep mountain in New Zealand and had my first dislocation; my thumb. It was pretty gnarly, and I'm pretty proud of myself for sticking it right back in, not passing out, and continuing down.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share some good music, good conversation, and good company! If I'm taking a rest day I'd also gladly help out in your garden/around the house.
