It’s hard to define who I am as I am constantly discovering who I am.
I am Brazilian and have been in Australia for 10 years, so that means that those cultural values and beliefs are strongly intertwined with my personality and my worldview. However, I have also been able to learn about new cultures and to adjust myself in a new cultural environment.

Having said that, I like meeting people from different cultures and backgrounds in a way to challenge my worldview and become more self-aware and more aware of the fascinating world we share. I enjoy having meaningful conversation with people as there is always something we can learn from each other.

I also believe that happiness is about connection: connection with ourselves, connection with other people and with the environment around us.

I’m currently living in Fremantle (for the last 10 years I should say) and working fulltime. For the last two years I’ve been working with refugees and asylum seekers in an agency that provides trauma counselling to them. I have learned so much from their life experiences and I relish the opportunity to work with some of the most resilient and courageous people in the world.

I’m on CS because I am after genuine human interactions. Human beings are social beings, unfortunately many people spend most of their lives on shallow interactions with people. So I am hoping to meet open minded people who I can have meaningful conversations with and share experiences.

That being sad, I'm very busy especially on weekdays, so I also enjoy time on my own:)

Nevertheless, I do like challenges and I have completed 6 marathons: Perth (2009), Sydney (2010), Sao Paulo (2011), Melbourne (2012), Auckland (2013) and Rio de Janeiro (2015).

Quoting Yalom 'Everyone is destined to experience not only the exhilaration of life, but also its inevitable darkness: disillusionment, aging,illness, isolation,loss, meaninglessness,painful choices and death...We are all in this together and no person is immune to the inherent tragedies of existence'.

So lets enjoy ourselves while we can and lets share experiences and take care of our fellow humans :-)
