About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am at a crossroads now. I have no mission yet, so I guess my mission is to find a mission.

ABOUT ME

I am just a simple guy that enjoys the simple pleasures of life. I enjoy doing sports like cycling, trekking, walking, martial arts, calisthenics, besides reading a book, learning a language, listening to music or just doing nothing at all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can offer a couch/bed, a kitchen, a stunning view from the living room window and a lot more! The beautiful surroundings are free for exploration. If I have the time I'd be happy to show you around.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some experience to this date, which really motivated to have some more :D

Interests

Learning languages, martial arts, nature, travelling, meeting people, sports, reading magazines, learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't really have a favorite book. J.M. Coetzee's Disgrace really fascinated me, though. I always enjoy reading Bill Bryson's books.
I adore music of which I have gigabytes stored on my computer. It varies from liquid drum&bass to classical music, from metal/grunge to Hungarian folk music. I am always keen on finding new bands and artists, because I don't really like to listen to the same music twice. I am always surprised to find real gems when you look in places where you'd least expect to find a great band. I was once Turkey and stumbled across these street performers. They really blew me away and I bought their CD. They really moved me with their music and energy.
My favorite movie is probably In China They Ate Dogs (Danish - I Kina spiser de hunde). I love Scandinavian, Asian cinema and I have a few Hungarian favorites.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Riding a motorbike in Viet Nam. This was hands down the best experience I have ever had. I have stayed in Sapa, North Viet Nam, for a few weeks. I had rented a motorbike from this lady selling anything that she could put her hands on to sell. A Czech mate of mine and I drove our motorbikes around nearly every day and at the weekends we went on these trips to explore the surroundings even more.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a language teacher, so I could be helpful in that department. But I am especially looking to learn from others and share our thoughts on whatever topic comes up. I think couching surfing and travelling, to use a cliche, does broaden the mind.

What I Can Share with Hosts
