Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting new people from various countries and cultures by hosting them or visiting them in their country. Aren’t we all just citizens of the world ? I also enjoy showing around couchsurfers the beautiful area of Gatineau/Ottawa.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can appreciate almost any type of music, but Jazz has to be the most grounding type of music that exists. I love classical (Mozart’s Requiem is my favourite for naps). I am a Beatles’ fan. I love 2Cellos (look them up).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting Algeria with a dear friend and getting to know his family and origins.
Travelling on my own in Europe by train at age 20 after having worked 3 months in France.

What I Can Share with Hosts

It all depends on the host. If I am hosting, I would be more than willing to accompany my CSers in the area. If I am visiting, I am alright with spending time with the host or on my own, as they wish fits best.

One thing that I definitely appreciate with hosting guests is to act as a sous-chef to help them prepare a traditional meal from their country.
