About Me

I'm a 29 year old veterinarian always looking to make friends and pay it forward.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my best buddies has been on CS for a while now and has super enjoyed meeting new people during his travels. I joined to follow those footsteps and make new memories and friends.

That same buddy and I used CS for a trip in South Dakota and Montana as my first experience. The kind of people that CS attracts are amazing individuals. So many times we were put up for the night last minute and treated like family. What other way to end an amazing day in a new place than sharing stories/drinks/meals/adventures with a local?

Interests

I'm a small animal internal medicine resident at the University of Wisconsin. Animals are great, but I wouldn't be practicing medicine if I didn't love supporting the human-animal bond.

I love running around! I'm down to play pickup soccer or frisbee anywhere, and I have discs in the back of my car if you want to throw around!

I couldn't think of a better way to get to know someone than to cook with them, share a couple drinks, jam out to music, and play some games. My girlfriend got me into board games when I met her and I've become a sucker for them since! Waiting for one from Kickstarter now!

Music, Movies, and Books

Salinger and Vonnegut were my first loves, but I can't get enough of Steinbeck. East Of Eden -- all time favorite.

The Fall, Hero, Identity.

Play me anything I can dance to. Let's go dancing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered in the Lower Brule and Pine Ridge reservations in South Dakota providing free veterinary medical care to animals in these underserved communities.

Bungee jumped from the tallest bridge available in North America. Two jumps off of bridges New Zealand.

Teach, Learn, Share

L'appel du vide - Literal translation is "the call of the void”, but more significantly it’s used to describe the instinctive urge to jump from high places.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A smile, a story, a meal, a friend.

I love to cook. Let's teach each other a recipe!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, England, France, Hong Kong, Iceland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Peru, South Korea, Spain

Countries I’ve Lived In
