About Me

Hello fellow couchsurfers✌️
My name is Martin and I'm currently living in Frankfurt, Germany. Before coming to Frankfurt I already lived in Berlin, Leipzig and Madrid for my studies.

Throughout the years, the international orientation of my studies brought me in contact with a lot of interesting international people. It also woke up the traveler inside of me. I'm quite a nature guy and I love hiking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got my chance to experience CS while traveling Japan for two months. When traveling alone it just feels good to have someone around, even if it's just in the evening at home. Also, traveling to new places is always exciting, but just by watching and observing a place I can't see the full picture. That's why I want to spend time with locals and learn about their city and experiences by having good conversations, food, drinks, walks through the city...
The same goes the other way around. I have hosted a few people in my shared flat in Leipzig when I was a student.

A good time becomes much better when sharing it with others.
That's why I decided to return to the CS community. I hope you are keen to meet up and have a good time together ✌️

Interests

food & drinks, cultural differences, hiking, football, basketball, all kinds of sports, chess, cooking, surfing, economics, retro games

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm usually able to enjoy all kinds of music, although having a strong fable for low bpm hiphop and jazz rap.

I like to read books about history.
I'm not the biggest reader of novels, but I've read a couple of books from Dan brown and George Orwell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many things, I can better tell you in person.
One of them was experiencing Japan together with the CS community.

Teach, Learn, Share

- I can teach German and English. Probably I could also engage in practicing spanish, pero mi Espanol es muy mal.
- I'd love to play/teach chess games while playing in person games (usually I only play online)
- I also developed good cooking skills in recent years.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always in a good mood and like to share my knowledge and thoughts about any topic, at best while enjoying some drinks together🙃
