About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Exploration of the soul.

ABOUT ME
I'm on here because I want to experience people and the world in a real way. I'm not rich in any way, and couch surfing enables me to open myself to newness and expand myself.

I've spent the last year as a nomad, dedicated to learning about the world and myself, so I'm quite comfortable waking up in a different bed every morning. I'm at the point where I might just find something and settle in a bit, I'm feeling more and more like that would be something I would love to do, host some peeps at my place, but I have to admit to the fact that I SO enjoy the adventure of new places and new people. So…I'm having a little adventure, closing up some business, making sure my body and mind are in a great place before I plunk down into something.

I've been treeplanting this year, and I can feel it in my hands and my body, but I love doing this. It has proven to me that I am a warrior...I did my first year at 35 years old. Also plays into my life philosophy right now...that I'm not too old to learn anything new...or try anything new, so if you want to try something new, I'm game.

A writer/hairdresser, I am social, very relaxed and can hold my own in a conversation. A very easy person to be around, but I have opinions and can hold my own in a debate if need be.

I want to make connections with others and get to know people in a REAL, genuine way, through open conversation about life, myself, and the world.

I am a vegetarian, but a friendly one, I don't care what you eat, and I love to spend time in the kitchen with people, but generally I need a recipe to make something.I am a writer and write some small poetry and journal entries on a regular basis. I am also a barber/hairstylist and I travel with some tools, so if you want a new 'do, I can hook you up. I did this in Toronto for 12 years, so I am capable. ;)

PHILOSOPHY

Open like a blossom to the world and see where that brings me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Glad to help couchsurfers when I have a place. Also, I really want to engage this community and the interestLing types of people that are in it. Couchsurfers seem like they are amazing people and I can't wait to meet you all.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Some amazing times...one that wasn't so amazing, but I adore this community so much. So many incredible, open people that I have loved spending time with. Open to the experience, open to meeting people if they are open to that, and CONNECTING on a level of honesty and appreciation for everyone involved.

Interests

Reading, writing, experiencing what life has to offer. Open to new experiences. Know a lot about graphic fiction and pop culture. Love to talk to new people in this moment, and see what life has to offer me. I'm interested in meeting people who are genuine and kind and happy, but also real people that struggle day in and day out and are vulnerable and open about their experience in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Read a little, seen a little, heard a little. Love Kurt Vonnegut Jr, and I love the Old Man and the Sea. Movies that I have cried at include The Elephant Man and Life is Beautiful, and I am really enjoying blues and rockabilly in the place that I am right now. I am a Stone and a Beatles fan. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have loved deeply. I have travelled a little. I have experienced the broadness of people that our world has to offer. I have grown up multicultural, and am open to all kinds of living. I am probably one of the most open and tolerant people that you will ever meet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to share my kindness and curiosity with others and I would like to hear what people have done with their lives and what they plan on doing as I believe this will inspire me in my journey.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great meals, some good stories, a poem or two about love, loss and the meaning of life.

Countries I’ve Visited
