I am married to Sue and we live in the lovely county of Lincolnshire in England. I am easy going and welcoming in nature and enjoy meeting new people from all walks of life.
Cycling has been my passion for the past 7 years and have completed a number of sportives, but have not tried my hand at touring yet (more about that later). To encourage more people to cycle I have become a British Cycling Guide Ride leader, which a volunteering position. I have also developed a website with rides in the West Lindsey area of Lincolnshire, cyclinginwestlindsey.co.uk . If you are coming over this way it is worth a look.
I work at the local council looking after their properties. This is a more administrative role rather than a hands on job. When I'm not cycling I enjoy watching most sports and follow Spurs in football and Leicester Tigers in Rugby Union.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

The reason I am on Couchsurfing is because Sue and I are looking at trying our hand at a bit touring on our bikes. We are starting very gently and are planning to cycle the Canal De La Garonne in France so any advice on how to make our trip easier would be gratefully received. If we are get offers of accommodation along the way that would be great too. We would also like to invite people to our home so they can explore the delights of Lincolnshire

Música, películas y libros

My taste in music is varied ranging from 1950's Rock n Roll through to modern day soft / indie rock bands, Coldplay, Elbow and Stereophonics to name but a few. I don't enjoy rap and dance music, I guess my body is getting too old for that :) .
As I love the outdoors so much I'm not a great movie fan but I enjoy the fantasy and sci-fi genre (Sue can't watch anything with suspense or horror in it so this does limit the choice a bit).
I do read a lot and at the moment I tend to read a lot about other peoples' touring experience, although it has to be on a light-hearted out look on the experience.

This is a little subjective as what one persons amazing thing is mediocre to someone else's, but if I was to put something out there I would say it was building my own website with no knowledge of how it works or what I was doing. I am proud of it and will continue to expand it.

I can share the local knowledge of the area I live in. Having cycled nearly every road in West Lindsey I know the area extensively and can give advice of cafe's, places of interest and some accommodation options.
