About Me

I am currently living in San cristobal de las casas till December. I am doing an internship here in a lab of agricultural sciences. I am working with communities of the Sierra Madre, which are participating in a project of reforestation. Like discovering new places and meeting new people!

"maybe" accepting guests because I'm doing field work and I'm not all the time in San Cristobal...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a friend here who has been participating in couchsurfing for a long time, and I got the opportunity the meet some of the great people he welcomed. I found the system great, and that's the first reason for why im on couchsurfing. I think it is the perfect way to travel in order to meet people who are living in the country and not to only stay among other tourists. It's great to learn more about he culture of the country, and to share your own culture as well, as an exchange.

Interests

I like botany a lot, and can spend hours looking for flowers or trees in forest. More generally I like sciences of nature and beeing outside a lot. I like travelling, of course, especially when what I'm seeing, living or hearing makes me thinking in a different way. Getting the opportunity to remove cultural barriers. I like sport a lot, especially like hiking or kayaking! I like hanging out with friends, and learning from people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite movies would be those by Almo Dovar, especially Volver. I listen to a lot of different musics, from rap to rock or reggae. My favorite one would be "heureux qui comme Ulysse" from Georges Brassens. I like reading a lot, one of my favorite books is Un viejo que leía novelas de amor by Luis Sepulveda. I like a as well The death of Ivan Ilitch by Tolstoi or Martin Eden by Jack London. In those books, one of the thing I like the most is that the characters are changing their mind through experiences they're living.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A ten days treck in the Himalayas! One of my best memories of travelling

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to learn from people, from their experiences and what they thought about it. Trying to learn playing harmonica and I would need help.. Sharing new experiences with people is very important for me! I like teaching language, and the little I know about trees or plants!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like the cultural exchange we can have with people from different countries, having different religions or way of thinking. Sharing about food, language or music! I can share a few things I know about San Cristobal and nice places to visit nearby. And of course, that would be a pleasure to share good moovies or good beers!
