Hi, I'm a 19 year old guy from Sweden eager to explore the world. I've been travelling through most of Europe but now I've set my sights on North America. I'm a professional chess player for now, although I will keep studying economics soon.
I enjoy watching tv series, travelling (obviously) and watching sports. Not really much into politics to be honest.

If you let me surf on your couch, definitely don't feel obligated to show me around the city if you have better things to do like being busy with work. I love evening conversations just as much and I can definitely explore the city myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Basically, I just think this is a really cool idea as it would be much more interesting to live with a local instead of staying at a hotel. Of course, saving money is a big perk but I'm sure I would love this thing even if I had all the money in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of popular music, the type of thing that you'd hear on the radio. I mix quite a lot between today's electronic music and hits from the 80's.

I haven't watched a lot of movies, but I actually like really bad comedies. And Harry Potter, of course. Who doesn't love Harry Potter?

I haven't read many books that aren't chess-related these last years. The last books I've read was probably the Harry Potter series.

Boy, I really love Harry Potter when I think about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My chess career is actually quite cool. I've travelled across Europe and the world for most of my life and seen things most of my friends haven't. I regularly write articles online, in periodicals and in October 2015 I published my first chess-book and it won an award a few months later.
